Thanksgiving is approaching, and it can be tricky to plan a menu that will satisfy those with food allergies, and those without.

If you’re cooking for a crowd, and some members of that crowd are used to traditional dishes, you might be nervous about planning a big meal for everyone. You want to keep your family safe and keep everyone happy.

I thought I’d share some top 8 allergen free Thanksgiving recipes with you today! These are recipes that I make pretty much every year.

My son is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame, and my other son is sensitive to gluten, and my brother is vegan. So that pretty much covers all the top allergens! I’m used to cooking without all of those ingredients, and we don’t feel like we’re missing out on anything at all during the holidays.

I hope you find some recipes in this list that will work for your family!

How to Prepare a Turkey

Turkey – I follow the instructions on the turkey packaging, but I place a lemon and an apple inside for moisture and flavor (slice both fruits in half). I also put vegan buttery spread under the skin with fresh herbs like rosemary and sage, and then rub more buttery spread on top of the skin. Bake according to package directions, or consult this post from Butterball.
